Samsung / Android Sim Lock Status

Can the Sim Lock status of a Samsung or Android device be determined remotely?

 Note that no data is populated for ‘SimLock” for these devices. Accessing this information remotely (via IMEI or serial number) is not currently possible. The best method for identifying a potential carrier/network association or possible sim-lock is to perform PrologMobile Carrier checks (which provides network ESN and Finance status returns). This will do two things: it will identify if the device is under contract, which in our experience is a potential indication of the device being Sim Locked to that network if full settlement of service terms or financial obligations is required prior to unlocking.
