MacBook iCloud Lost Mode
Detects when a MacBook owner claims their device is Lost or Stolen in their iCloud account.
Check Description: This check includes Find My Mac and provides an additional check. When a MacBook device is marked as lost, it goes into “Lost Mode” which is more restrictive than Find My Mac.
Why It Matters: Knowing the iCloud lock status of a MacBook is critical to resale value, ownership verification, and device usability. This check instantly tells you whether an iCloud lock is “ON” or “OFF”, revealing if the iCloud account owner marked their MacBook as either lost or stolen via their iCloud account.
When to Use: A device with iCloud “ON” may be restricted or even unusable unless the original owner removes the lock, making this status check essential for responsible resale, trade-in, or refurbishment.
