Discrepancies with FMiP and MDM Status
PrologMobile is returning FMiP and MDM "OFF", however we physically see the lock on the device and the Remote Management profile that limits us access.
The difference between what you're seeing in the Apple GSX database and the device's "remote management" screen could be due to a few reasons. First, if the device is enrolled in Apple's Device Enrollment Program (DEP), it might automatically apply MDM profiles when it's activated, which might not show up in the GSX database right away. Sometimes, there's a delay in updating the GSX database with the latest device status. Also, MDM profiles can be manually installed by IT admins, and these might not always be tracked in the GSX database, especially if they're not DEP-enrolled. There could also be a simple error or misconfiguration causing the GSX to report the wrong status. Also, if the device was previously managed by a different organization or had a different setup, the GSX database might not reflect the new changes immediately. So, even if the GSX database says MDM is off, the "remote management" screen shows that the device is managed by an organization. So, while DEP and ABM are designed to facilitate automatic MDM enrollment, there are scenarios where a device may not show "MDM On" in GSX despite being enrolled in these programs. This discrepancy can occur due to pending enrollment, manual removal, errors, or limitations in data synchronization. We would suggest checking with Apple Support or, if possible, the owner of the associated IT department to get a clearer picture.
