Apple vs Android "Carrier" (and SIM-Lock)

Apple has dynamic real-time SIM-Lock and carrier data, whereas Android has static original carrier at the time of manufacturing.

Our Apple OEM call returns both Sim-Lock and Carrier fields. These two fields are provided real-time and will update if the status and/or Carrier changes.

For example, if it's SIM-Lock: Locked, and Carrier: ATT, it means it's currently SIM-Lockedto ATT.

Answer: For Androids (Samsung, Google, LG, Motorola), there is no real-time status check for SIM-Lock specifically as the Carrier in our Android OEM calls refers to the Carrier at the build state of the device - it will be the network for which it was originally configured and sold through, or "Unlocked" if it was sold through a Samsung direct channel.

For real-time Samsung status we can provide Knox status, which is currently in beta, if you are interested in exploring that service.
